The 1960s: the "Weltbild" brand is born
In 1967, Winfried-Werk GmbH took over "Feuerreiter", a monthly pictorial published by Verlagshaus Struth in Cologne. The two magazines were amalgamated to form a single magazine entitled "Mann in der Zeit mit Feuerreiter".
The "Weltbild" name was first encountered in 1968, when Winfried-Werk GmbH purchased the title from the Cologne-based publishing house Mertens and renamed "Mann in der Zeit mit Feuerreiter" as "Weltbild".
